Strength in a chart can turn to discomfort if one planet grows too dominant, seizing the psyche. A sensitive Moon can morph into an emotional Diva, a penetrating Mercury may leave little room for feeling; Mars can dominates as an abusive boss or parent. If one planet is overactive in our chart, another may stay minimally expressed, unable to give its full range of possibilities. How do we deal with these power imbalances in the chart? Planetary strengths and weaknesses don’t always take a predictable form. We look more closely at traditional notions of strength, and how this may contribute to “renegade” chart patterns. How do we bring aliveness to those parts of the chart that remain underdeveloped or underused?
