Mars & The Outer Planets — Fifty Shades of Red

In Hellenistic astrology, the planet Mars finds his Joy in the 6th House, the house of twilight, suggesting that, as the Sun sets and twilight time emerges – a time that blends shadow and light together to various degrees – Mars engages many shades of his own hue, red, regardless of house placement. Red is anger, passion, blood, strength, and inflammation. Red is also the beauty of a rose, with its thorns never far away. Red flags indicate warnings. Red evokes the “rubedo” stage of alchemy, the stage where success lies within reach – the engagement of one’s own will. In myth, Mars births Victory. In astrology, the discovery of the outer planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, have brought many more shades to Mars’ palette. This webinar explores the nature of the red planet and the powerful dynamics that occur when Mars, considered a “personal” or “inner” planet, must contend with the outer planets in the natal chart and by transit.
